Q: What does the breezy point surf club have to offer my family and I?

A: The surf club offers acres of pristine beach area, ocean swimming, and an Olympic size swimming pool with water slides along with a second kiddie pool. Comfortable accommodations ranging from cabanas, cabanettes to bath cabins. A variety of activities including baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, bocce, volleyball, mini golf and horseshoes. Along with dance and art classes, water aerobics, playgrounds, game room and acres of play area both sand and grass.

Q: What are cabanas, cabanettes and bath cabins? What are the costs?

A: Cabanas are the largest accommodations the club has to offer. A typical cabana is 8' by 16'. Cabanettes are slightly smaller than cabanas at 6' by 12'. The club provides electricity and cold running water to each cabana and cabanette. Bath Cabins are basically large lockers used mainly for storage; they are 4' by 6' and are equipped with changing bench and shelf. All accommodations are rented on an "as is" basis. Cabana pricing ranges from $3,595 to $4,360, cabanettes are $3000, bath cabins range from $400 to $470 (does not include NYS sales tax.). Pricing is calculated depending on location. All members who do not reside in the Breezy Point-Belle Harbor area must retain an accommodation with their membership.

Q: How many members are allowed in a cabana, cabanette, or locker?

A: Members may share an accommodation as long as the total amount does not exceed 8 members in a cabana, 6 members in a cabanette, and 6 members in a bath cabin. If a group of 9 or more would like to join under one cabana, the members exceeding the maximum of 8 must retain a bath cabin for the season.

Q: When does the club open/ close? When can I come down?

A: The BPSC season of operation begins Memorial Day Weekend on a limited basis (full operation on weekends, cafeteria and bar are closed weekdays) then full-time basis the last week in June. The club's season ends Labor Day Weekend. We are currently open weekdays 7 days a week. for inspection, enrollment and ID photos, but will be closed Easter Sunday.

Q: What are the hours of the club?

A: The club gates open at 8:00 am and close at 11:00 pm on weekdays, 12:00 am on weekends and holidays. The pool opens at 10:00 am and closes at 8:00 pm; the kiddie pool closes at 6:00 pm. The cafeteria opens at 11:00 am and closes at 6:00 pm. The bar opens at 12:00 pm and closes at 7:00 pm weekdays (closed Tuesdays and Thursdays), 12:00 pm to 12:00 am weekends.

Q: When is the water and electricity turned on?

A: The water for cabanas and cabanettes is turned on the first weekend in May. The electricity is turned on only weekends in May until Memorial Day weekend. Starting Memorial Day weekend water and electricity will be on full time.

Q: What about food and beverages?

A: The club offers a newly renovated cafeteria with a menu of all American foods, (hamburgers, chicken nuggets, fries etc…). A large bar and lounge named the Captain's Gig and the Seahorse Café. International dinner nights are once a week covering a different theme each week, (Irish, Italian, German, American etc…). We also have our own on-premises catering available for all occasions with or without room rental. There are several soda and vending machines located throughout the club.

Q: What is your Guest policy?

A: Our Guest policy is as follows, up to 4 guests per member, per season on non-holiday Mondays. Each member receives an ID card that is punched for each guest he or she brings in. For example: on one Monday a member brings 2 guests, then the next Monday he or she brings 1 guest, this member may bring 1 more guest for the entire season unless they pay the posted guest fees. A child member may only bring children as guests. An adult member may bring both children and adult guests.

Q: Are there any additional fees?

A: Most recreational activities do not require any additional fees, but there are additional fees forswim lessons, tennis court and mini golf time. More information can be found at the main office.

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: Each member has the option to cancel with a full refund up to 7 days after submission of application. All other cancellations with refunds, after the 7-day period, are subject to review by management. All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
